Description The contribution represents Jan Patoček as one of the possible guidebooks from the world of shadows to the real world, on the basis of the claim that this important Czech philosopher can be considered as representatives of so-called "spiritual people". Patočka's guidance can be traced back to his texts, including texts related to his pedagogical activities, but can be linked to his own pedagogical missions. The second part of the text is one of them - his four-semester teaching at the Faculty of Education of the Masaryk University in Brno in 1946-1948. Jan Patočka's pedagogical mission is still considered to be one of the cornerstones of the Faculty of Education at Masaryk University, where in 1946 the faculty providing the higher education itself was "built" by teachers. The structure of the faculty at the time of its foundation was built on seminars. One of them was a seminar of philosophy, which was called a private doc. Jan Patočka from FF UK. Thus, Jan Patočka became the first "teacher of philosophy" at the MU Faculty of Arts.
