Description The vocal symphony Sluneční země (Sun Land) has an exceptional position in the creative legacy of the Brno-based composer František Gregor Emmert (1940–2015). It is one of a few Emmert´s compositions which were awardd in public. The composition won the Competition for Young Composers in 1973 and after it was performed in 1975, it was also well reviewed by contemporary critics. The theme of the composition for solo soprano, female reciter and grand symphonic orchestra is based on events connected with the war in Vietnam.
