Description In this paper, the following questions are asked and answered: How do we visualize the physical reality that we observe with undoubtably one of the most important sensory organs - our eyes? Why, especially these days, are there situations in which physical objects are seldom observed directly, but we rather take photographs of them and examine the images taken to then display them, among other things, with classic materials (pencils, pens, charcoal, paints) and the “manual hand”? Questions concerning the relationship between vision, feelings and thinking are also examined: Is the choice of photographs taken and archived by us random or the result of complex mental activity? What can we imagine by the term “digital eye,” which is the metaphorical term for permanently capturing reality through digital devices (mobile phone, digital camera, video camera, etc.).
