| Description | Adalbert Stifter, an accomplished Austrian writer, painter and pedagogue was born in Horní Planá in Šumava. He connected his literary works with Šumava and he describes lives of people living in this region and the history of south Bohemia (“Witiko”). Stifter wrote many of short stories among other literary works. The main goal of this lecture is the amount of Stifter´s connection to Šumava and how his work was influenced by the beauty of this mountain-range. |
