Description This work investigates the relationship between the anonymous Italian moral treatise Fiore di virtú (written in Bologna?, between 1313 and 1323 circa), its Catalan translation made by Francesc de Santcliment (printed in Lleida/Lérida) and its Castilian translation (printed in Zaragoza, between 1489 and 1491). Attention has been paid in particular to the structure of the work, its chapter, its prologue and to the stratification of short works that were clustered to both the manuscript and printed witnesses. Through a structural comparison between manuscripts and printed works of the Fiore di virtú, it has been proved that the Catalan text cannot depend on a single Italian print, but must have used a second, manuscript, model, from which it took the final chapter (suggestions for embassies and writing letters). The same happened with the Castilian text, which depends on the Catalan print, but took the prologue from a Italian manuscript.
