Description | The long-term interest of artist David Možný is related to the architectural arrangement of the space, which is reflected through digital animation or installation, but most often by its connection. In the “Open Space” exhibition at the Pitevna Gallery, the author uses authentic typed office equipment, which lacks its most essential feature in its installation - purpose. Thought penetration and exploration of objects culminates in a strong and direct physical penetration. By transferring (parts of) the real office and its new contextualization in the gallery space a multiple heterotopic shift arises. The gallery itself is, from the point of view of its topology, a place for which a certain frame of reference of the viewer is typical. David Možný created a new Place in the Pitevna Gallery in which all parts determine our movement and condense the sensual experience of it. The exhibition is part of the project – Able to Vision - Presenting Contemporary Art at Masaryk University.
