| Description | The author analyses Vladislav Vančura's (1891–1942) activities against Fascism and Nazism in chronological order. Firstly the study focuses on Vančura's public appearances at various assemblies and on his activity in period organizations (e. g. The Union of Czechoslovakian Writers) and in committies supporting opponents of Spanish Fascism and German Nazism. Secondly the paper examines Vančura's journalistic speeches and literary works related to his fight against Fascism and Nazism. And lastly it describes Vančura's involvement in a resistance group during the Nazi occupation of Czechoslovakia and reflections of his involvement in scientific and memoir literature. |
