Description The paper informed about a quantitative analysis of 91 children's retellings of fairy tale about Red Riding Hood. The author divided the narrative of the Red Riding Hood into 32 sequences and watched their occurrence in individual narratives. In addition, the author counted the occurrence of so-called narrative means, which improve the narratives (anaphors - personal pronouns on the subject and object position and possessive pronouns, cognitive verbs, elaborated noun phrases and direct speech). The results show that the age is most correlated (r = 0.378) with the number of used anaphors of the observed type. A very interesting result is also the growth of the "density" of cognitive verbs use with the overall length of the narrative.
