| Description | The paper focuses on the theme of the political coup in Egon Hostovský's work, especially on the example of his novel The Missing, whose story takes place in the events of February 1948 in former Czechoslovakia, and the only author of the drama Osvoboditel se vrací, which captures the revolution in a fictional island country. The text focuses both on the performance of the mentioned play, which is not very well known in the Czech context, and on the mutual comparison of the two works primarily within the mentioned motivational line. |
