Description | A.L.M.A. M.A.T.E.R. is an online web platform that has three main goals. Primarily to supplement teaching materials for the Neolithic, Eneolithic and Early Bronze Age for the territory of the Czech and Slovak Republics, which are currently lacking (replacement of script, the inclusion of topics that do not fit in a regular lecture). Secondly, a more attractive and digestible form of information, the knowledge of which is essential for the future successful archaeological practice of graduates, as the ability to link information in a chronological and geographic framework has proven to be one of the most striking problems in exams over the past few years. The third focal point is the ambition to offer access to comprehensive information not only to the broader public and students and teachers of Masaryk University but also to create a system, applicable and expandable throughout Central Europe. The platform combines primary data on individual cultures, the main characteristics for settlement and burial grounds, supplemented by maps and depictions of original artefacts, contexts plans, etc. It also includes bibliographic links, links to video-related topics and illustrations. It will be possible to export the required data from the website in pdf format. Thanks to the web platform, it is possible to react flexibly to new advances in scientific research and to refine and complement the content of the project continually. |
