| Description | The conference included proceeding papers of the: (a) various aspects of proper nouns such as are used in various spheres of communication; (b) dialects formerly and in the present days. Czech and foreign experts in the onomastics presented results of their long-standing research of the personal names, of the place names, of the names of the rivers or lakes, of the names of various products, some of them dealt with the standardization of the proper nouns, almost of the place names. The research of the proper nouns was connected to the history of the regions or with the language situation of the regions, too. The papers of the dialectology dealt with the contemporary situation of the dialects or with the use of the vernacular words in the historical literary texts, too. The theme of dialects and of the proper nouns were not separated, some authors proved the influence of the dialects to the forming of proper nouns. |
