Description The article deals with the topical issues of ornamental woody plants used in the street of Sochi (Western Caucasus, Russia) recreation area, which are subdued to diverse anthropogenic impacts as results of the city development as an international holiday center in recent years. The quantitative and qualitative assessment of selected species, numbering 240 trees Liquidambar styraciflua L. and 65 trees Cedrus deodara (Roxb.) G. Don. is presented. With respect to the conditions, they modified size and growth of trees, we carried out an analysis of states the studied plantations. The analysis of human factors influencing studied areas was also included.
