Description After 1989, Framework Educational Programs (FEPs) have been established and revised, supplemented with areas that are little or no included (financial, digital, media and technical), elaborated in separate documents. The aim of the paper is to define the basic economic concepts that should be included in the teaching of technology, respectively. to the development of technical thinking of elementary school pupils. Subsequent identification of suitable teaching texts or teaching aids, which can be expected to have a positive impact on both learning outcomes and pupils' motivation and increasing interest in the area and further education in it. It is based on the analysis of available educational materials aimed at identifying economic topics in the field of technology teaching, analysis of their internal interconnection and the possibility of their completion based on other available materials. interconnection is identified in the area of innovation, their management, or implementation into the production process or financing. Furthermore, in the field of costs and their calculations, the use of econometric approaches to optimize production and use of technology. Entrepreneurship then interconnects the areas through the support of new technically focused business ideas, as well as in the application of various areas of management directly in technical fields. These areas are then connected with the development of pupils' key competences and different dimensions of their literacy. Teaching materials that are specifically identified in the form of teaching aids complementing or directly replacing the frontal form of teaching can be used to contribute to making teaching more attractive and actively involved in the teaching process. It is necessary to clarify the basic economic context of elementary school pupils, both in terms of the functioning of industrial enterprises and in terms of development of entrepreneurship and financial literacy of pupils. The world of technology and the application of technical education gains a wider and qualitatively better application by complementing these broader economic context.
