| Description | The study focuses as a chapter in the monographon the specific Czech phenomenon of the first half of the 20th century, namely the formation of libraries as a critical knowledge infrastructure, which serves not only for the development of reading but also for education, as a socially inclusive element and as a fundamental pillar of general education. In addition to studying legislative conditions that strongly influence this process, we will also focus on three selected Moravian libraries, where we illustrate their functioning in the first half of the last century. |
