Description | The concept of competence is still not comprehensible enough for the teachers. The paper focuses on the problem-solving competence, specifically on those problem-oriented learning situations in primary Science that have a potential to develop the pupils' competence, however, the potential had not been fully used. The aim is to analyse critical didactical incidents that cause reducing of the potential. The results show recurrent patterns inside the situations that cause weakening of the PO task potential of developing problem-solving competence. Excessive taking activity on the teacher comprised the dominant group of incidents. The teacher gave hints so directly that the PO task had changed into several lower cognitive level tasks. Another incident was in constant repairing of all mistakes that made a solving process almost impossible. |
