Description The aim of the qualitative research was to analyze a set of realized activities considered appropriate for inclusion in professional portfolio from the perspective of its potential for developing mathematical pre-literacy of children. The research was realized based on video recordings from three kindergartens in Brno region and elaborated by a group of prospective kindergarten teachers, students of the Faculty of Education of Masaryk University in the academic year 2018/2019. The outcomes of the research proved that even seemingly simple tasks inspired by a literary text may be utilized for identification and application of stimulus for development of children’s dispositions, when approached thoroughly using the AAA methodology (annotation – analysis – alteration).
