Description | This article concerns the topic of strangeness in two Montreal novels: La Québécoite by Régine Robin and La célébration de Naim Kattan. The main characters are going through difficult times in their efforts to achieve the integration into society. In our analysis, we observe the feelings of strangeness, loneliness, missunderstanding and disillusion that are experienced within the family and even within the couple. One of the issues is the affiliation to judaisme and the Jewish community. |
