Description | The aim of the presented study was to explore personal experience of a parent, a coach, and a teacher with development of movement skills of preschool children. The main method of data collection was semi-structured interviews, which were literally transcribed and analysed by interpretative phenomenological analysis. The results pointed out the importance of the topic and also reveal the factors that significantly affect the movement development. The most important factors were the influence of the parents, activities in the preschool, content of physical activities, the current lifestyle of society and involvement of relevant state authorities. Participants also offered recommendations that could have a positive impact on motor skill development. They see the potential in improving communication among people caring for children; inclusion of systematic, regular and appropriate physical training in the preschool curriculum and increasing interest and support from the state authorities. |
