| Description | The lecture aims at students inscribed in the master degree program “Areal studies: Bavarian studies” located at the Philosophical Faculty of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. It took place in November 24th, 2020 (online). The main objective was to provide a survey of the basic phonological properties of the Franconian dialects spoken in the north of Bavaria. It focuses on features distinguishing the Franconian dialects from standard German on the one hand, and from the Middle Bavarian dialects on the other hand. |
