Description The current situation of COVID-19 pandemic expected managed response of public health system as well as of the general public. Unfortunately, it pointed to a lack of preparedness, including education for emergencies and crisis situations and the role of capacity development in strengthening citizens' health literacy. It´s clear that it´s crucial to increase security literacy and security competence of our citizens. In strengthening the level of literacy, we should focus on a group of children (primary school pupils who participate in compulsory schooling) and on quality of undergraduate teacher´s training in selected topics. In the Czech Republic, the safety topics are an integral part of the basic education curriculum and, according to legislative measures, should be part of compulsory undergraduate teacher´s training.
