Description The paper deals with “scaffolding” as the interaction of a student and a teacher in ethics classes. The research involved 33 secondary school students. Attention is paid to those situations where the teacher comes into interaction with the student. The results of the research show that as long as students are left with the oppor- tunity to influence the development of the discussion, they follow each other and are not afraid of talking in class. Especially with the structured help of the teacher, students formulate developed conversations in which they clarify their values
