Description Teachers play a key role in the development of the whole school system. Nevertheless, it is not only the Czech education system that faces the question of how to cope with aging teaching staff and low graduation rates. One possible approach to address these challenges is the concept of work ability. The aim of the paper is based on the analysis of 14 semi-structured interviews to present the first results, which more deeply reveal the subjective perception and sup- port of the work ability of upper-secondary school teachers.
