Description | Health Education is one of the key disciplines in raising public awareness and seeking solutions to global challenges - poverty, spread of infectious diseases, famine, wellbeing, and environmental un-sustainability. Waste and energy use reduction, sustainable food and mobility choices, carbon footprint (emissions) reduction, development of sustainable competences, and behavioural changes in consumption habits and healthy lifestyles can be met only thanks to interdisicplinary approaches to health education and its internationalization. The keynote speech presents ideas for an international project cooperation in implementing innovative, holistic learning and teaching practices to develop students’ knowledge, skills and attitudes to actively participate in creating a better future for others as well as themselves (Leask, 2015). The project learning outcomes will develop students’ transversal skills and sustainable competencies, relevant for both local and global labour markets while empowering them with global thinking and capacity to be able to address and offer solutions to environmental and social problems anywhere in the world. The transnational, intercultural, and interdisciplinary learning in the project will take place in an inclusive online environment of Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL). |
