Description | This paper focuses on some replies to the questions with adverbs kam and kde (where). It concentrates to the replies without expression of localization(in replies to the questions with kde) or without expression of place that is a desti-nation of some way or ride. When the questions with adverbs kde, kam are pro-nounced, some people can reply only by sentences with expression of the pur-pose: Kam jdeš? (Where are you going?) – Pro vodu. (For the water.) Kde je? (Where is she?) – Šla plavat. (She has gone swimming). We use texts of the Czech National Corpus SYN v9. The replies are categorized according to the meaning and to the language forms of them. |
