Description | The presentation provided an overview of topics and empirical findings from research conducted in the field of preschool education in the Czech Republic in the years 2000–2020. It was based on overview studies of preschool education research presented in the journals Pedagogická orinetace (2012) and Pedagogika (2021). The study is based on the analysis of research articles that were published in professional journals and relevant collections during the monitored period. The presentation sought answers to the following questions: (1) What topics and goals were addressed in the research? (2) What methods were used and on what files were the studies carried out? (3) What significant findings and conclusions emerged from these studies? Based on the analysis of these studies, the authors came to the conclusion that, during the observed period, the publication emphasis was shifted to professional journals, however, there was no significant change in the area of topics covered. In the field of research methodology, it is possible to observe a shift towards qualitative to mixed methodology. |
