| Description | The subject of the paper is a content and critical linguistic analysis of readers' comments on Russian translations of Czech journalistic texts with socio-political themes published on the InoSMI.ru portal. with the aim of determining the key discursive characteristics within the imaginary Russian-Czech intercultural communication realized in the form of readers' comments to these texts and mapping the manipulative techniques used in the presentation and promotion of categorical and one-sided attitudes and opinions within the Internet discussions. The aim of the paper is to draw attention to the negative aspects of unsanctioned public socio-political discourse, which is currently enabled and accelerated by the technological possibilities of the global network, and which, in a situation of de facto information warfare, contributes to the spread of negative and hostile opinions and sentiments rather than to genuine intercultural dialogue. |
