Description The dielectric barrier discharges are nowadays widely used in various branches of both industry and research. Although the commonly used dielectric layers such as Al2O3 (Alumina) were sufficient, the barrier layer materials have become a subject of extensive research in the last years in order to enhance the discharge properties. The dielectric layer properties could have a significant impact on plasma parameters, e.g. ignition voltage [1], because it is in direct contact with a dielectric layer.
