| Description | The aim of the lecture was to introduce the church of San Marco in Rome and especially its mosaic decoration from the 9th century. The analysis of the decoration of the presbytery led to a discussion about the eminent art historian Max Dvořák, the role of relics in early medieval Rome, and the Roman stational liturgy. |
