Description | At PdF MU, the subject Applied chemistry and modern methods of chemical research has been taught in the master's degree for 9 years. In the 2021/22 school year, teaching was transferred to a new form. Originally, the teaching took place in such a way that the head of teaching first presented the theory, the use of which was then practiced with the students on specific examples or tasks. Mostly, it was about professional physico-chemical and analytical topics. Now it is the basis of teaching work with the text of the first three volumes of the series of popular science works by M. Kechlibar Forgotten stories 1,2,3. Before the lesson, students always receive a list of issues from the fields of chemistry, physics, ecology, etc., on which they should focus more deeply in the given lesson. At the beginning of the lesson, they first try to solve the assigned tasks on their own, then they can read or listen to a relevant chapter from the Forgotten Stories series, then they discuss the text together, look for answers to the assigned tasks and discuss them with the teacher and among themselves. The lecture discussed the experiences of students and teachers with this method of teaching. |
