| Description | The aim of the conference and doctoral workshop organized as a part the of specific research on MU was to present the role played by the terms "assignment", "artistic role" and "function" in the creation of works of art, especially with regard to architectural realisations in history and the present. The conference in Villa Stiassni in Brno followed on from earlier, similar events held at the Art History Seminar in previous years. The introduction to the conference was an evening lecture by Doz. Ulrich Fürst (Munich). It was followed on the second day by introductory lectures with a theoretical focus and then lectures dealing with specific art-historical problems. The conference included posters of doctoral students, exhibited in the villa, and a final excursion into the history and present of the city of Litomyšl. |
