Description | The paper deals with both theoretical and applied concept of geocritical analysis of space in literary works. The geocritical view focuses on the works of two French authors at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries, Christiane Singer and Sylvie Germain, whose spatial inspirations intersect in many ways. The authors try to cope with the relativity of the space that literary characters inhabit, define and travel in it. The cultural identity of both authors' space is also influenced by the dimension of transcendence penetrating their works. The aim is therefore to identify the individual aspects that affect the creation of space in their works. |
