| Description | The article focuses in the form of an analysis on the pastorale Hejsa, novina by Jiří Ignác Linek (1725–1791). First, the piece is set in the context of Linek’s work. The analytical part follows, focusing not only on the formal aspect of the composition but also on the semantic level. Furthermore, the typical elements of cantorial pastoral music that appear in the composition are highlighted, and the musical and rhetorical figures used are pointed out. The only existing recording of this pastorale is evaluated in the conclusion. |
