| Description | Recent attention to the modality in Sicilian and, in particular, to as yet little-explored areas of the modal domain is certainly evidenced by the essays in this collection. Alongside the resumption of topics that have traditionally been the focus of scholarly attention, they propose new reflections that, on the basis of recent theoretical recent theoretical literature, place the domain of modality in contiguity with other notional domains such as time, evidentiality, mirativity, and investigate its interactions with a variety of pragmatic domains such as focus, attenuation, intensification, exemplification. |
