| Description | The presentation will address the topic of the life journey of young people in VTOS or detention. The topic of the lecture corresponds to the research aim of the thesis, which outlined the risk factors throughout the life course of these individuals. Specific risk factors include the family environment - parental educational efforts, family constellations, School environment - disciplinary difficulties during primary education, peer influence or substance abuse. Results are based on semi-structured interviews with young adults in VTOS or detention, followed by the traditional use of analytical process (open, axial, and selective coding). The presentation will also present future research challenges on the topic of developmental pathways of criminal behavior that arising from the findings of the aforementioned work. |
