Description | The potential of aesthetic and educational subjects, which is offered in the framework of education at the 1st stage of primary schools, remains in many cases still underestimated and therefore not properly used. In the Framework Education Programme for Primary Education (2023), where Music and Art Education are integrated into the educational area of Arts and Culture, the search for and finding links between the types of art, e.g. on the basis of common themes of how to use them, is supported, without denying the specifics of individual fields. In the educational series Playful Music Education for Years 1–5 of Primary School by the Taktik publishing house, which are in accordance with the current curriculum document, the team of authors led by Daniela Taylor introduce publications that are distinctly of an activity-oriented nature and offer cross-curricular overlaps in the spirit of the integrative concept of primary education. Within them, the possibilities of connecting the contents of artistic disciplines into functional units that offer other than rational knowledge of the surrounding world are presented. The paper was presented at the XXXI. Viva musica in schola with international participation at the Faculty of Education of Masaryk University in Brno, which took place on 17 and 18 October 2023. |
