Description | An inventory of the remains of the old cultural landscape was carried out in the historical territory of Moravia (eastern part of the Czech Republic). Geostatistical analysis of data collected enabled to find and explain the influence of a number of geographical factors on the territorial distribution of segments. Belonging to ethnographic and geographical regions was expressed loosely. The large city of Brno maintains a large circle of less preserved segments. The influence of the increasing vertical dissection of the relief is manifested in the growth of the number of preserved remains of the old landscape only up to a certain level. Their numbers decrease in very rugged terrain. The effect of altitude is similar. Up to a level of 600 m above sea level, the number of preserved segments increases, further to higher positions it already decreases, as does the level of their preservation. Surprisingly, relatively most often, very well-preserved segments are found in plains and plateaus in the planar landscape zone. The influence of the distance from the historical border, or from traditional population centres is also important. The number of old cultural landscape residuals from the centre increases, but the quality of the segments decreases. |
