Description Within the framework of the identity of a teacher of vocational subjects, an important part of the teacher's identity can be defined as his professional identity in terms of belonging to the given field, as well as his teacher's identity in terms of belonging to the teaching profession. The contribution is devoted to the issue of mutual interweaving of these identities in the vocational education teacher, which then enables the vocational education teacher to use the elements that form the individual components of identity and competences that are tied to the given identity. The interweaving of identities is to some extent a permanent phenomenon among vocational education teachers. At the same time, it is possible to evaluate this interweaving of identities both from a positive point of view, i.e. the possibility of using two identities, and from the point of view of negative impacts associated with identity changes.
