| Description | Faced with the task to provide written teaching material for students in Czech Republic who wish to acquire some working knowledge in the dialect spoken in northern Bavaria (the Franconian dialect), the paper points out several relevant factors (phonetics, morphology, didactic considerations) for choosing among competing graphical implementations of the Franconian e-sounds. |
