Description Dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) is the second most common cause of degenerative dementia after Alzheimer's disease. The symptomatic period before the onset of dementia manifests as mild cognitive impairment (MCI). DLB is caused by the accumulation of the protein alpha-synuclein (=Lewy bodies) between neurons in the brain. From the point of view of neuropsychology, dementia manifests itself as a disturbance of cognition manifested mainly by attention disorders, visual hallucinations, REM sleep disorders (RBD), and parkinsonism. Diagnosis can be made using biomarkers - a decrease in the uptake of the dopamine transporter (DaT) in the basal ganglia (SPECT/PET), polysomnography - diagnosis of RBD or brain atrophy imaging - a structural MRI analysis of brain functions and functional fMRI in resting state. This work focuses on the possibility of using the dynamic functional connectivity of dFC as a diagnostic imaging biomarker - specifically, the expansion of static connectivity parameters by dynamic data characteristics and floating window analysis. Furthermore, dFC can be used as a marker of the therapeutic effect of non-invasive transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) in patients with mild cognitive impairment (MCI).
