Description In the Czech Republic, we face serious social challenges that affect a large segment of the population. A dividing society and recurring crises always have the greatest impact on the most vulnerable groups. Social exclusion, affecting at least 12% of the population (MPSV, 2021), is particularly burdensome for children and youth, who have little influence over their family situation. An unexpected tool for mitigating the effects of social exclusion and developing social skills is football, which, when used appropriately, can positively impact the lives of these individuals. An example of good practice is the organization Football for Development, which implements the Football3 methodology, integrating football with social skills and everyday life. For the socially excluded, football offers not only meaningful engagement in sports activities but also the development of personal skills such as teamwork, perseverance, and responsibility. Additionally, as a universal language, it fosters the creation of new friendships beyond the bubble of social exclusion and supports a sense of belonging and self-confidence.
