Description Although in 1989 Francis Fukuyama in his essay "The End of History?" stated the victory of liberal democracy, its enemies continue to exist (even inside Western civilization). Democratic states use various means of defence against extremists. Specific anti-extremism policy can be defined and studied using policy-analysis. This policy can rarely be found in its consistent form, it rather abstracts from other policies. The relationship between internal security and anti-extremism policy is most important. An important role is also played by civic society. There is a large number of conflicts in the politics dimension. Various programs and laws can be seen as outputs of anti-extremism policy.
