Description The paper presents the pros and cons of 'preventive' measures during the early development aimed to prevent or alleviate ADHD. These measures are based on the assumption that these disorders have a certain course and that the typical symptoms in early school age are preceded by certain 'warning' signs in infancy and pre-school age. Based on technical literature and anamneses of children with ADHD we selected signs in sucklings and toddlers that might signal the ADHD symptoms in later life. For example, a relationship has been found between ADHD and the persistence of early motor reflexes in later age. Children with ADHD also show more frequently small deviations from the normal motor development (i.e. too short or missing phase of creeping in infancy).
