Description Though innovations and innovative processes are very often quoted in discussions about the transformation and the development of schools and the schooling systems, the public and/or the specialist seldom reflect them in all their stratification and complexity. Similary vague are the discussions on the innovations in teaching. This contribution makes up a theoretic framework of innovations as percieved within the discourse within the professional literature. The framework is then used to explain the essentials of innovations in teaching: the grasp of such innovations is the objective of this contribution.
