Description Altogether 7 species belonging to 4 orders of orthopteroid insects (Mantodea, Dermaptera, Ensifera and Caelifera) were recorded in the flooded sand pit of "Na Mušlově" at the village of Sedlec (Mikulovský biogeographical region, Czech Republic). Only occurrence of rare species, earwig Labidura riparia and sand cricket Xya variegata, is discussed.
