Description The contribution deals with how to strengthen and promote autonomous learning through self-evaluation by the criteria of the European Language Portfolio. These criteria are in terms of Czech new element, as well as self-controlled foreign language competence. For future teachers to develop foreign language skills appear to be a reflection of the important components of teacher competence.
