Description We show the results of the "World Internet Project - the Czech republic" in the presentation. In the first part we describe the report from the Center for Digital Future - "Ten Years, Ten Trends" which expose American trends in the Internet use. In the second part we compare the Internet penetration in the Czech Republic and USA, we describe the phenomenon of "digital divide" which we can see in the Czech Republic. We describe the results of the World Internet Project - the Czech Republic in the third part of presentation which shows that young people aged 12 - 20 years percieve and use the Internet else then older people - they say, they express their emotion easier in the virtual world and they prefer the virtual communication more often. We introduce two hypothesis - the differences could be caused by "arise of the Internet generation" or it could be just adolescent specific behavior.
