Description Despite of the post-war liberalization of international trade there are still protectionist trends in the real trade policy of both developing and developed countries. This paper tries to outline present-day approaches aimed at the persisting protectioninism problem. The arcicle is divided three chapters dealing with relatively independent problem. the first one is aimed at the protectionism in the present-day international trade itself; the second one deals with trade policy formation or political economy models. The next chapter outlines theoretical approaches to the influence of interest groups on the trade policy.
