| Description | Salesian pedagogy and educational activity of Salesians of Don Bosco with tradition of about hundred and fifty years is still current, living and useful in society. For understanding basic ideas is good to know Don Boscos , Salesian congregation founder, life and work which is possible to study it permanently from the religious, pedagogical, psychological etc.view. There is a big response to Salesian work all over the world and it also has its specific history in the Czech countries. Salesian work with the young is based on preventive educational system. Salesian educational system of Don Bosco in recent psychological connections: It is created in the 2nd part of the 19th century it signals ideas of modern pedagogy, pedagogical psychology and psychotherapy, mainly humanistic psychology (par ex. C. Rogers). It works with complex perception of personality within all its components. It exploits influence of the closest social environment of a young man over his own personality development. It makes conception of the educators role in education in modern and active way. |
