Description	The aim of the paper is to describe corruption situation and its trends in the Czech Republic during transformation period. In the first section, the author analyzes situation of eighties in context of corruption to understand the incipient state. The second section is dedicated to representative empirical corruption indicators. In the third section, there is introduced political corruption and selected political affairs. The last section contains conclusions.
