Description The incubators help firms in the early stage of their development. The incubators can be fo-cused on various type of firms – often on innovative firms (they are called technology incu-bators), but also on common non-inovative firms (especially in small towns, they are called business incubators), on firms established by university graduates (so-called university or science incubators) and on firms in some specialization (specialized incubators, e.g. biotech-nology incubator). Especially technology incubators play important role within deveopment of innovations. They enable to develop business ideas into market form. In our article we deal with the way how the incubators may contribute to innovative enterprises and also with way how they function in the Czech republic. We put emphasis especially on those of them that support innovative firms.
